Flat tires are a pretty common annoyance that virtually every driver will have to deal with no matter if they buy Nitto tires or something else. Considering the fact that this nuisance is so common and occurs so often, understanding the steps required for changing out a tire is as important as learning how to steer, back into a parking spot, or even use your brakes.

Believe it or not, a lot of people are intimidated by the act of changing a tire for no good reason; it's actually one of the simplest types of vehicle repair that exist. Unlike most types of vehicle repair, you do not have to worry about having special training or climbing under the hood, you just need to know a few basic steps.

The biggest part of changing a tire is having the right equipment available in your trunk, so that it will be there when you need it. Since it is impossible to predict when you are going to have to make a switch on the side of the road, you want to make sure you have a proper jack, a good sturdy lug wrench, and a spare in your car or truck every time you leave the house.

When you have a flat on the side of the road the first thing will likely happen is an audible popping sound, followed by increased resistance. If you believe that you've just experienced a blow out on the road you want to pull over immediately, however do try to find a flat spot to park the vehicle if possible.

Get out and use your jack to lift the afflicted tire only slightly, not so even enough for it to come entirely off of the pavement. While the tire is in this position, loosen but do not remove the lug nuts. After you have them loose, finish jacking the car up to give yourself plenty of room to work; then you can take off the lug nuts and make the switch to the spare.

Once you've got the spare in place, just tighten up those bolts, and let it down. Using these easy directions, switching out your Nitto tires should prove to be a relatively simple task.
