The Garden Route and Wilderness are legendary for their stunning vacation places and stunning and relaxing accommodation. There is something for everyone, so if you are looking for a location to settle in for a couple of days and rest and unwind, but require something to keep the children amused, then you can not do much better that these 2 locations. The hotels and guest houses are created to put you in a calm and serene state of mind, with gorgeous yards bursting with some of the most sensational birds ever seen.

If you are up for some driving, and would love to see even more of this magnificent town and surrounds, then you will not be dissatisfied. You can see some of the most gorgeous scenes in the world like the Map of Africa. It has spectacular views and if you are up for a bit ofadventure, then maybe you should try an adrenalin pumping paragliding flight? It is one of the most thrilling experiences, even a little frightening on the actual jump, but what a serene and spectacular place to be; high up in the clear blue skies with Africa set out at your feet! You do not require any experience as the instructor will take full control, so all you need to do is trust him or her, sit back and enjoy the experience. Possibly take a few pictures from your distinct vantage point.

On the other hand, if you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, then you can always go to the beach. The warm Indian Ocean is always a delight to swim in and maybe even do a little scuba diving and "tour" the undersea surroundings. You can also simply sit on the perfect, white sand and read a book, or simply doze while you take pleasure in the warm, African sun and work on your tan. In the night, have a delicious meal at one of the twenty five different bistros in the area. Maybe you would like to spend the following day on the wine route, which runs directly through Knysna and Oudtshoorn, along the Cape Route 62. And if you are in the mood for a relaxed and beautiful drive, well the garden route runs parallel to the coastline and you can stop along the way to see the lakes, mountains and stand on the top of the high cliffs for a stunning picture opportunity of a life time.

Any which way you choose to go, you will be completely delighted with what you decide to do while you are holidaying in Wilderness, or anywhere along the beautiful Garden Route.
