Men are going through midlife crises, yes, but what about women. They both go through this uneasy period of life, but they have different problems and they react differently. It doesn't mean that female midlife crisis is easier, just the opposite. Men will try to overcompensate their lost years, but women might experience more serious problems.

Women often simply don't have enough time to spend taking care of their own needs. When they come to certain ages, sometimes they suddenly realize that they were wives and mothers only, and that they never had a chance to do something different. If being wife and mother is all that you are, what happens when children go away.

Working women don't get through such serious crises, because they usually have some other interests in their lives. They are surrounded by people and separated from other family members for at least one portion of their day. Maybe their lives are more hectic, but they get more opportunities to express themselves. And another important thing, they make their own money.

Once your children leave your home, you suddenly have too much free time. At first, the house is empty and too big, too silent. If your husband is still working, you can wrap your life around taking care of his needs, but it won't be enough for long. At some point, you will have to find something that will occupy you.

Time goes by, and this is a fact. You cannot stay equally young and attractive whole your life. Even if you are in the best possible shape, there will be younger and more attractive women around you. Maybe you can still feel young and sexy, but most people won't see you like this any more.

Suddenly, it doesn't really matter if you lose excess weight and fit into your old sexy dress. You don't see a point in finishing your study. You will never run on the Olympic games or discover the cure for cancer. Some things became unreachable, and you simply cannot change this fact any more.

Now, when you don't have to be at home taking care of others, you can have your own career. The problem is that you have no experience, and most employers hire younger people. You know so many things and you are willing to work and learn, but it is so hard to get a chance. Suddenly, you realize that people around you perceive you as a middle aged woman.

At first, you will be probably shocked. Maybe you'll get depressed or angry at first, but you will probably find a way to pass through this all. The only problem is that women go through their menopause in the same time, and that may cause hormonal imbalance and both physical and psychical problems.

Well, all these things aren't really so bad. They only look like this at first sight. In fact, you are really one great looking, sexy woman, and your ages simply don't matter. You are capable, healthy and strong, full of wonderful ideas and valuable life experience. People will recognize that as soon as you start to act accordingly. Show your potentials and find new interests in your life.
