Nothing beats a tropical vacation and who would not want to visit Costa Rica, time and money budget allowing. You may want to have a vacation close to nature and Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica may seem like an ideal place for this. Thus before you pack your bag here are some tips to find good Manuel Antonio Hotels for you.

As with any carefully planned decision or activity it will not hurt if you have some sort of decision making help such as in the form of a checklist. This very simple management tool will assist you in making all the necessary data checks and research needed. The following items should be included in your checklist.

First of all look at your budget. A typical one week stay, or eight days and seven nights accommodation will minimally set you back around US 1,600 per head. Of course if you are loaded and full of cash, this is not really an issue, but for most it is an important consideration.

The national park of Manuel Antonio will have plenty for the nature lover, being traversed by plentiful hiking trails and viewing areas across an area of six hundred and eighty hectares. Be sure that you are up for many outdoor activities before going. It is also good to know that the park only opens from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm from the days of Tuesday to Sunday and there are visitor limits. The park only allows a maximum of 600 visitors on weekdays and 800 on weekends.

Thirty seven hotels are there for the choosing that are 3km away from the park itself. They range from two star level accommodations all the way to four star with prices ranging from USD 56 on the low end to USD 1423 on the high end for an overnight stay. This range can of course change depending on the season and demand.

You should also already estimated the number of days that you plant on staying, for this will definitely affect your overall spending and such. Special packages do abound in Costa Rica, with some giving free nights stay given special conditions and a lot more other discounts for children and families. It pays to inquire beforehand so you can plan and schedule accordingly.

Season will also affect your bookings when going to visit Manuel Antonio. December to April is usually the driest months and also the peak months as most go to Costa Rica for the beaches. However, it is best to visit during the wetter off season months of April to November when everything is greener and more alive, particularly when it comes to visiting Manuel Antonio reserve.

And of course please remember that you will be traveling to a tropical country so do pack accordingly. Light clothes only and if possible cotton ones. Pack plenty of bug spray also and be prepared for a lot of sweating.
