Have a relaxing Time At The Eumundi Markets Queensland

The small town of Eumundi is located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, inland from Noosa and is straightforward to reach from anywhere on the coast with Campervan Hire Brisbane. It is probably best known for it's market which is classic across the area, as well further afield, with a lot of stall holders and visitors coming from Brisbane for a taste of a historical hinterland town.

Eumundi is a normal historical town complete along with extraordinarily wide and shady streets. Actually the huge trees are figs and have been heritage listed, many visitors going to Eumundi solely to see them. You can soak up the atmosphere with the historical buildings before venturing down to the markets.

While the markets are actually the primary feature (on a Sat. anyway), there also are six lovely art galleries to visit. There's some striking Aboriginal art in the galleries and also a good selection of contemporary artwork. If you like stained glass you will find lots to enjoy for a while. One of the special treats which you'll seldom see in Australia, is hot glass art, but you will fortunately not miss out at Eumundi.

Local artists also feature their work in the studios and are also available in the market itself. When you are worn out from having a look at stunning things, including boutique shopping, you might also visit the chocolate factory and sample some of the fine creations there , as well as watching them being specifically made in front of you.

Enjoy relaxing over lunch at one of the many cafes and diners or you could always try the classic pub. It is also worth dropping in at the Visitor Centre as there is a lot of info there about the historic buildings in the city in addition to the early history of Eumundi. Many people have such a great time, that they choose to stay the night also.
