Given that The New Year Is Here and Christmas is behind us many people are considering having a holiday. Additionally they just about all appear much the same and are not as atmospheric as they used to be. So why not try a little something different and go to Islamabad in Pakistan?

As the capital of Pakistan Islamabad is the center of everything that is going on. It was extensively reconstructed in the sixties and so is a superb combination of the old and the fresh. It has several excellent places that you should go to like the Rose and jasmine garden, Shakarpian Hillsides and Simli Lake.

Islamabad is located in the north west of Pakistan within the Potohar Plateau. When you see it you'll be happy as it is a lavish green and contemporary city. You will be delighted by the variety of trees and shrubs you experience lining the roadways in Islamabad. Only a few contain eucalyptus, laburnum, rose wood and bougainvillea which produce a riot of color when in bloom.

Reaching Pakistan from the British isles is straightforward with there being many cheap flights available from London and most of the bigger local international airports. All of them fly direct on top quality global airline carriers so convenience and choice is sure.

The climate you'll find in Islamabad is far from the uniform temperature you might assume. Since it is situated way inland away from the sea - over Nine hundred miles from the Arabian Sea it's very intense both in summer and winter season. Summer season could possibly get sizzling hot with temps above one hundred Fahrenheit together with winter season sometimes getting below freezing while not very often. The more usual variety is between fifty and 90 F.

Being not too far from hills and mountain tops rainfall is very typical all year round in Islamabad, like Great britain. In summer you may fins monsoon situations with as much as Six inches of rainfall in a day. Despite this though Islamabad certainly makes an interesting change for a city break.

You can find a great choice of international hotels in Islamabad and as in most large metropolitan areas you can also get less expensive holiday accommodation in guest houses.
