Fly Clear: Getting Beyond Airport Security

Ever since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the world has gotten a bit darker. This is shown in the increase in security at airports. People have to arrive hours prior (longer if it's an international flight), in order to get through the long lines at airport security. It is a true nightmare. However, it doesn't have to be. There exists many little secrets to help reduce your time at the airport security line.

A key way to help reduce your time at an airport security checkpoint is to do proper research. Prior to your flight, look into what the current flying regulations are. Also look into what you are allowed to carry onto that plane, as well as the acceptable luggage sizes and what kind of liquids you are allowed to carry. There are so many more questions that can be answered through a quick, simple check prior to your flight.

When it comes to packing for carry-on, there are certain items you should have on you. The main point to consider is that carry-on luggage should contain items that you may not be able to find at the lodgings you will be staying at. Items like deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner and lotion. Make sure to only get small bottles of these products, which you can get at your local drugstore.

Another potential tactic in order to clear airport security quicker is the purchase of a security bypass card. To put it simply, these passes allow you to access special lines at certain airports instead of having to wait in the doubtlessly crowded main security checkpoints. They can be purchased online, picked up at the airport and you are on your way through!

Getting through airport security has always been a nerve racking venture. The tragedy of 9/11 only made it more difficult. However, it does not have to be entirely a nightmare. With the proper planning, knowing the regulations of the airport, knowing what and how to pack, and perhaps a bypass card, you will have an easier time to fly clear!
