Many of us love to travel. Traveling is an enjoyable activity as it lets us discover new places and cultures and meet people from various walks of life. For some people traveling is a simple hobby, but for others it is actually a passion and an essential part of their lifestyle. However, no matter how exciting it can be, it is not always possible to travel regularly because it requires time, money and resources.

But is it possible to experience the joy of traveling and make money at the same time? The answer is yes, it is. If you're really a passionate traveler, it is ideal to focus on the travel industry for your job or business. For instance, you can opt to work in a corporate travel agency, in an airline company, in a cruise ship, in a government agency or in a charity organization, among others. But if you are a passionate and technologically-savvy traveler, then you can have your own travel blog.

Travel blogging is one form of blogging that has gained increasing popularity in the past years. The beauty of blogging both as a hobby and a business is that it enables you to share your travel experiences not just with people in your own country but worldwide. However, the World Wide Web has proved to be a convenient yet challenging platform for people who want to earn from their travel stories.

Of course it is a lot easier to earn when you get paid for every article you write, e.g. a travel management company pays you to market their services through your travel blog. Now, companies specializing in corporate travel management usually partner with various independent agencies to help meet the travel needs of their clients. And in order to draw more clients, travel agencies and travel management companies may seek the services of travel bloggers like you to help them promote their services and increase their online visibility.

With all the advantages of travel blogging, it's still important to understand that it won't instantly yield good results especially if you're just starting. Initially you may have to spend a lot for your own travels. With credible and unique travel stories, you can start building your writing portfolio. Promoting your articles or blogs through different social networking sites is likewise important to improve your site's search engine rankings. This way you won't only attract more readers who are simple travelers but also other companies that could pay you for your content.
