Tours of Miami Florida are so thrilling because the city itself is so interesting and diverse. Every visitor can find something that seems particularly interesting. It could be a fully guided sightseeing city tour or one that caters to a niche interest such as foodies or beach-goers. There are innumerable options, including walking and bike tours, art deco trips, day trips and segway adventures.

People visiting the city for the first time generally want to see all the top tourist attractions. This calls for a guided tour which takes groups of tourists to Vizcaya, Zoo Miami, Coral Castle, Jungle Island, Gator Park and other popular points of interest. Most of these excursions also stop by at Lincoln Road and South Beach for some shopping and browsing.

The "hop-on, hop-off" bus routes offer a more flexible option. Tickets can be purchased with validity for multiple days, so that visitors can get off the bus anywhere and pick it up any point on the route at their own convenience. The most popular routes are a beach loop and a city loop.

The starting point for these buses is Central Station. The beach loop then takes passengers on a circuitous route around the island of Miami Beach, offering spectacular views on Collins Avenue, Ocean Drive and South Beach. The city loop bus drives through all the tourist-friendly districts, including Coral Gables, Downtown Miami, Little Havana and Coconut Grove. This route allows passengers to stop by at famed tourist attractions such as the Art Deco District and Vizcaya.

Day trips from the city are another option popular among tourists. It could be a visit to the Everglades to take an airboat ride and hang out with the 2,000 alligators at the Everglades Alligator Farm. It could just as well be a delightful and serene day spent exploring Key West.

Foodies can stick a fork into a number of culinary tours. Many head straight for Little Havana to find mouthwatering Cuban breaded chicken toston with plantains, to be followed by a heavenly Cafe Cubano. Others may seek variety in South Beach, where restaurants of all stripes offer everything from Italian gelatos to Colombian empanadas and kosher Jewish food. The tour company should be able to provide a custom culinary tour for individuals upon request.

Fitness conscious visitors can opt for a bicycle or walking tour. This can be a stroll down Little Havana's Calle Ocho, or it can be an exploration of Miami Beach's art deco treasures. Many tourists can also be found rattling along in groups on segways along the riverfront or to various sunset points facing the ocean.

The large number of self-guided tours of Miami Florida that are available provide an ideal way to explore the whole city bit by bit. It's very easy to follow GPS instructions and move along from one attraction to the next, accompanied by audio that explains what to see and do along the way. A Go Miami Card is recommended, in order to save the money required for entry fees at dozens of attractions.
