Belize As A Vacation Destination

Located in Central America, on the Caribbean coastline, Belize is bordered on the east by the Caribbean Sea, on the north by Mexico and on the south by Guatemala.

Belize tours will take you to a great vacation adventure. The natural and beautiful attractions of this country make it very appealing to tourists around the world. This place is really blessed as it has pristine waters, barrier reefs, tropical forests, majestic mountains, amazing Mayan ruins and very friendly and warm people.

Ancient Mayan Ruins

Belize is the home of the earliest Mayan civilizations hence the Mayan culture is naturally a part of its heritage. During the height of the Maya civilization, approximately one to two millions Mayas lived in this country. Even if this civilization is long gone yet the Mayan influence and culture remains owing to the ancient ruins in the forests of this country.

The ruins in this place show the architectural skills of the ancient people and that amazes every visitor that looks at them. Every visitor that have seen the breathtaking temple pyramids are not only amazed with that they have seen but they feel great respect for this ancient people. The Mayas are gone however their contributions to the world remained and continue to remind us that there was once a civilization that thrived in this country that has left a legacy that continues to influence the modern world.

Altun Ha, Cerros, Caracol, Lubaantun, Cahal Pech, Lamanai, Xunatunich and Lamanai are this region's most visited Maya sites. Tikal is generally considered by many as a Mayan site of Belize as it is more reachable from Belize than from Guatemala proper.

Water Lovers' Haven

The water of the Caribbean Sea is crystal clear and azure, making it a real marine wonderland. The barrier reef of Belize extends for nearly 185 miles and it is deemed to be the second largest barrier reef on earth. It's a marine wonderland because it holds about 200 isolated cays, over 400 tropical fish species, 70 coral varieties, coral atolls, mangroves as well as paradise-like beaches.

It is indeed a must-see place for any diving enthusiast as this is a home to a diver's paradise called the Blue Hole. This natural hole is thought to be a cave whose roof might have fallen countless years back. With the passing of time, the cave has been shaped into a nearly perfect hole that provides the most exceptional view of suspended stalactites and stalagmites.

There are plenty of water activities that can be enjoyed here such as snorkeling, kite surfing, kayaking, and water skiing, sailing or simply swimming.

Unspoiled And Undiscovered Beauty Of Belize

Belize possesses unspoiled and unmatched natural beauty - one thing that makes it very appealing to tourists. It is actually like a hidden paradise with many lush vegetation, fascinating waterfalls, untouched rivers plus secret caves. Tropical rainforests are in abundance in this country and most of which are within short distance from each other. And, each of them boasts great beauty that has rich and diverse animal wildlife like the captivating pumas, awesome jaguars, and amazing Howler monkeys along with the nearly extinct Tapirs.

This country is thought to be Mother Nature's best keep secret owing to its untouched natural splendor.

Warm And Friendly People

Any kind of destination can't be regarded as an excellent place when the local people aren't friendly. People in this place are really warm and friendly that is why this place is one of their top choices to visit.

Most of the people are here are from mixture of races and cultures such as the Mestizos or the Spanish Mayan people or Creoles from the British settlers and African people.

Also, this country has a small population of Chinese and Lebanese.
